about me
I am a Filipino graphic designer and art director currently based in Manila. I have been working as a graphic designer since 2007.
In 2008, I was hired as a junior designer for a men's lifestyle magazine based in Manila called Rogue. It was here that I was able to evolve as a designer and ended my tenure as the Creative Director in 2016. In my time in the magazine I was able to hone my skills as an editorial designer, art director and photo retoucher.
Aside from being in the magazine for 8 years, I took courses in Typography, Visual Branding, and Editorial Design at the School of Visual Arts in New York in 2013.
In 2015, I designed and art directed the national best selling book Besties, an unconventional manifesto for Filipino girls growing up in the 2010s written by Solenn Heussaff and Georgina Wilson.
Since leaving the magazine in 2016, I have done freelance work with some top companies in the Philippines specializing in food and retail. These projects range from designing custom publications to serving as art director for the Manila franchise of New York based barbecue joint Mighty Quinn's.
In May 2017, I finished a course in graphic design at Shillington College. My work for Brand Identity and Custom Typeface were shortlisted as a Finalist in the AGDA Student Awards 2017.
I am currently doing Branding for several local and international companies in fields such as retail, food, fashion, beauty, and corporate identities. In April 2018, my custom typeface for Salcedo Auctions was chosen as a finalist for Adobo Design Awards Asia 2018.
